sometimes in life you have those moments where you look back and think, "what just happened?!"
I had that moment today. Jon and I were eating cookies in my car while I was driving him back down to San Marcos where he was attending a wedding. I pulled over because I was getting chocolate chunks everywhere-- all over my car and Easter dress and it was a mess. I took a swig of water from my completely full 2 liter water jug when suddenly there was a wave of water coming at me. I had been squeezing too hard and broken the bottle.
It was seriously such a weird experience because it felt like I had just gotten hit with a wave or a bucket or something of water, but it was completely out of context because I was IN MY CAR. Water everywhere!
Fortunately nothing shorted out or broke my phone or anything, and I happen to keep a towel in the door, so within a few minutes everything electrical was no longer in danger, but I was completely soaked. After I did a quick check of everything in my car, I started laughing so hard that I cried for about 5 minutes. It was so bizarre and hilarious. I'm really glad the car wasn't moving when it happened because I probably would have wrecked from shock. Jon described it as looking like someone threw a giant water balloon at me and it broke on my face upon impact.
We weren't terribly far from my house, so before we made the rest of the trek down south, I was able to change and place a dry towel on my chair for the rest of the drive. However, every time I turned the steering wheel for the next half hour, I got dripped on, which sent Jon and I into fits of laughter all over again. Here I am all wet and holding the broken bottle:
